The South African National Arts festival takes place again in Grahamstown from the 20th June to the 4th July 2010.
From 20 June Grahamstown will be filled with amazing sounds, sights, lights, colours and creative spirit as the National Arts Festival gets under way.

Almost 500 productions are being staged this year, and the organisers are still finalising the program.

Fine Brandy Festival Johannesburg May 2010

The South African Brandy Foundation in conjunction with Standard Bank, have created a sophisticated fine brandy showcase where visitors can experience the triumphs of the country's top distillers.

The third staging of the Standard Bank Fine Brandy Festival takes place on the 5th to 7th May 2010. The event will be at the Sandton Sun in Johannesburg, and the first night is by invitation only.

The Annual Sasol Scifest which started in 1997 is only a few weeks away and as usual is hosted by the beautiful city of Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape.

The dates are from 24th to 30th March 2010 and this year has a spectacular range of work shops, exhibitions, talk shops, lectures and some fun stuff on the fringes.

During the weekend of the 22 - 25 April 2010 the people of Lamberts Bay take pride in celebrating their ninth consecutive Crayfish and Cultural Festival.

Crayfish is the main attraction at ridiculously low prices to make it available to all.

Lambert's Bay is the South African crayfish mecca and this delicacy is prepared in true West Coast style. Crayfish will be available at various points including Muisbosskerm

Other food stalls will also be available for the fastidious pallet. 

Activities include paint ball, quad biking and bow & arrow shooting.

Dullstroom Festival of Art, Culture and Environment

The annual fun filled Art Culture and Environment Festival starts on Wednesday 16th December 2009 and ends on Sunday 20th. It is a wonderful way to kick start your year end vacation and promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

The theme this year are the five senses and the artists of Dullstroom and the surrounding area will be using painting, mosaic, sculpture, pottery, glasswork, beadwork and music to awake the senses. Art classes,  makeup classes and the culinary arts will all be on display at the many locations set up for this Festival.

The festival has a varied program and artists will perform  throughout Dullstroom, and in the evenings they will provide entertainment to patrons at the various restaurants in town.
