Durban International Film Festival

The 31st Annual Durban International Film Festival takes place from 22 July to 1 August 2010, at venue throughout Durban and the surrounding townships areas where cinemas are to a large degree, non existent.

Submissions to the Durban International Film Festival have closed and over 200 screenings will be presented. Films are from around the world, with the major focus on films from South Africa and Africa.

The Annual Greyton Winter Classical Music Festival takes place on the 12th and 13th June 2010. This event is the second since the Music and Winter festivals of Greyton combined last year. 

Apart from the five scheduled concerts over the two days the Greyton Winter Classical Music Festival will also be hosting several art exhibitions will be held in the town. Local restaurants also get deeply involved in the Music Festival with their winter fare prepared by celebrity chefs.

The Uplands Preparatory School and Uplands College present the Uplands Festival for the seventh consecutive year from Friday 28th May to Sunday 30th May 2010.

The Uplands Festival is the premier art festival in the Lowveld and this year promises to exceed all their previous efforts. 

There is an art festival running for the full duration of the event with exhibits from over 50 individual artists, sculptors, glass blowers and Quilters including Nicola Leitch, Ardmore, Nkosi Jubane and many others.

The Brandwag High School (Hoerskool Brandwag) in Uitenhage is hosting the Anibrandfees festival starting on Thursday evening 29th April and ending on Saturday evening 1st May.

There is an extremely full program in various venues within the main Festival Arena.

The annual Hartland Fees at Pienaar Dam outside Middleburg kicks off on Friday 23rd April 2010 with a performance by Juanita Du Plessis. It's all non stop action with beauty competitions, stage productions and music music music.
Kurt Darren, Jak de Priester, Nadine Blom and Theuns Jordaan are just some of the top names that will be performing on Friday through to Monday afternoon.
Tickets for the weekend cost R375 per person and primary School Kids go for free. One Day tickets cost R150.
