The 11th Hermanus Kalfiefees will be held from 4th August 2011 to 9th August 2011. The Hermanus Kalfiefees has become the definitive Art and Cultural event in the western Cape and attacts thousands of theatre lovers to the Whale Coast.

Star performers in 2011 include Lizz Meiring, Sandra Prinsloo, Chris van Niekerk and Vinette Ebrahim

Muscicians Laurica Rauch, Rocco de Villiers, Romanz and others have also signed up to perform at the Hermanus Kalfiefees 2011.




 Ellen Pakkies (Vinette Ebrahim) was one of the millions of unnoticed people. Suddenly her name is on everyone's lips and this quiet respectable woman becomes the centre of a murder and courtcase that shakes the world. This moving, disturbing story of a Cape woman driven to murder by her Tik addicted son. A story of a mother's love and her heartache, and yet a celebration of survival, forgiveness and hope. Written by Liz Meiring.

This comedy drams by Reinet and Jan Jan Nagtegal is the heartwarming story of Hennie (Ben Kruger) and his son (Vilje Maritz). Hennie is an Elvis imitator and drags his son on an Elvis tour through the Karoo. They need the money to pay for Ma's Boob Job. With foot tapping Elvis music in the background the tension and drama of this dysfunctional family unfolds, sometimes in private, sometimes on stage, sometimes downright funny and at other times heartbreaking.Directed by Albert Maritz.

This play is a combination of the best of a trilogy. All three of these shows were created by Deon Opperman and tells the story of Natasja who after graduating from University and becoming a lecturer, then becomes a stripper. But then Nastasja, who is at peace with her single life and her profession, falls in love. Should she be honest with the man she loves or walk away and lose him?
This show is relevant, humorous, sensual and very revealing. And most importantly, it's a show that will be enjoyed by both men and women.
