Now is your chance to learn how to be a bird watcher. No more blank looks when your pals are going on about differences between one "little brown job" and another! If you know something about birds, you get to understand their habits and habitats and then what it takes to protect birds of all shapes and sizes.
Why should you bird watch? You get to exercise the grey matter for other than business. It's something the whole family can be involved in. You also get a lot of exercise, fresh air, and a opportunities to clear the cobwebs out your head.
The Cape Bird Club is offering a course - "Birding for absolute beginners" that starts on 6th February. The program runs for the following 3 Saturdays. The Venue is the lecture theatre at Rondevlei Nature Reserve. The course starts at 9:00 and finishes at 13:00
Costs are R170 and students pay R85.

DIRECTIONSThe entrance to Rondevlei Nature Reserve is in Fisherman's Walk, in Zeekoevlei. Take the M5 from Cape Town.Turn left at the intersection of Prince George Drive with Retreat Road and 5th Avenue. At the first traffic lights in 5th Avenue, turn right into Perth Road. At the end of Perth road it turns into Fishermans Walk.
