Directions to Caledon

From Cape Town

Take the N2 Highway towards Cape Town International Airport. Pass the Airport, go through Somerset West and then Sir Lowry's pass. At the top of Sir Lowry's Pass you will pass the Steenbras dam on your right. Continue past Grabouw and through the Houw Hoek Pass. Pass Bot River and proceed to Caledon. Miss the first exit to the right, pass the Caledon Hospital on your left and then turn right into Hoof Street on your right.Take the second exit into Caledon to your right marked R316 Caledon and Bredasdorp.

From Hermanus

There are three routes from Hermanus to Caledon.

The first is by way of the R43 to Bot River and then right onto the N2 to Caledon.

The second is to take Main Road out towards gansbaai and Stanford. At Stanford turn left onto the R320 and take this road up the Klein River Valley to the intersection with the R316. Turn left here and follow the R316 into Caledon.

The third and most scenic is to take the R43 out of hermanus and turn right onto the Caledon Road at the hemel en Aarde/Sandbaai intersection. This drive through the Hemel en Aarde Valley is very scenic. although a stretch of the road is gravel, and can be a little rough after rains.
