Swartberg Tour – Oudtshoorn  Prince Albert Meiringspoort De Rust Oudtshoorn.

Swartberg Mountain Tours Manage several tour routes in the Swartberg Area.

One of the most popular tours is the Round Trip Tour from Oudtshoorn over the Swartberg Pass then to Prince Albert, Meiringspoort, De Rust and back to Oudtshoorn

You can look forward to

First a visit to an Ostrich Show farm, then the standard 1 hour Cango Caves Tour. Then a  two hundred kilometre trip, of which about 27 is on gravel roads, from Oudtshoorn over the top of the spectacular Swartberg Pass to Prince

Albert where you will see many meticulously restored Victorian and Edwardian Homes. From there you travel on through part of the wide open Karoo to Meiringspoort Canyon through the Swartberg. You will visit the Meiringspoort Waterfall and enjoy this unique riverbed route that crosses and re-crosses the river running through the canyon.

You then drive on to the small village of De Rust and back to your starting point in Oudtshoorn. The trip takes all day, during which nature lovers will relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and the spectacular views, whilst learning more from our guides about the fauna, flora, geology and history of the region.

The start and finish point is your guesthouse in Oudtshoorn.

All the guides at Swartberg Mountain Tours are truly passionate about what they do. Nature conservation, geology and the diversity of fauna and flora found in this World Heritage Site are very important to them.

Only Tourist Industry (Theta) Qualified Guides, both Regional Specialist Guides and National Guides are amongst the team to help you with information reaching further than the surrounding area.
