A Picnic at Vredenheim Wine Estate is an ideal outing for the whole family and the perfect way to soak up the unique atmosphere of the Stellenbosch Winelands. Vredenheim Wine Estate is less than hours drive from most guest houses and accommodation establishments in Cape Town.

It’s essential to pre book your Picnic at Vredenheim with Hudsons Restaurant and advise the composition of your party so that you can be assured of a great picnic hamper. Enjoy your Vredenheim Wine Estate Picnic Basket in their beautiful garden with many shaded areas, thatch gazebos and lovely big trees where you can relax and unwind for the day.

There’s a small covered sand pit for the really little ones and lots of space for kids to burn off extra energy, and there’s not a computer in sight!

If a picnic is not for you, then enjoy some fine wine tasting and lunch at either Hudsons (informal on the garden edge) or at Barrique, which is both indoor and outdoor and which has some fine boutique beers available.

As you enter Vredenheim Estate you will see some wildlife in the form of black Wildebeest, Eland, Fallow Deer, Gemsbok and others. The Cape Town Lion Park is also situated at Vredenheim Wine Estate

Vredenheim Wine Estate also hosts wedding receptions and conferences.

Classic Cats, who have a range of restored Jaguars for hire are also based at Vredenheim and some of their fine cars are on display.
