Ceres - Zipslide Tour - A Ride on the Wildside

Ceres Zipslide Tour is the longest of its kind totalling 1.4km on eight slides. Plans are in place to extend the Zipslide by a further 2.5km during 2100.

Tours depart every 30 min and groups sizes can be up to 12 people. Larger groups can be accommodated with prior booking arrangements. Zipsliding is safe in most weather conditions including rain and the Company has also developed its own patented braking system.

The slide Zigzags across the Koekedouw River from one platform to the other.

The 8 Zipslides vary from 100 to 290m in length and the highest point is 40m above the ground (that is about 15 stories high). Children can go tandem with parents or with one of the professional guides.

Payment can be made by credit card and the course takes between 2 and 3 hours dependant on group size.

Getting There.

Directions From Cape Town

On the N1

Head east on N1 Rd toward Exit 15 for about 59km past the R300 Junction with the N1 then turn right on the R101 to Rawsonville. After about 7km there is a fork in the road. Take the left fork to (R43 Goudini Road) to Ceres. Continue for around 4.3 km then turn right to Wolseley on the R43. A further 5km on you will get to a T-junction. Turn left onto the Ceres R43 road. Proceed for another 15.3km to a second T-junction. Here you turn right to Ceres on the R43 (R46). 14km on you get to a third T-junction. This time turn right for Ceres. About 6km along Mitchells Pass you will pass the Tollhouse which is a national monument and 2.5km further on you will see Ceres Adventures at the Natures Garden on your left opposite the Golf Course.

Directions From Stellenbosch

Take the R44 until you go under the N1 then turn right and continue for 39km then turn right onto the R101 to Rawsonville as indicated in the directions for Cape Town.

Directions From Franschhoek

Take the R45 from Franschhoek for around 8km from the Huguenot Monument then turn right onto the R301to Wellington. Continue on the R301 until you go under the N1 then turn right onto the N1 and continue for about 27km then turn right onto the R101 for Rawsonville. Follow the Directions from the same position as in Cape Town above.
