Clarens - Abseiling
Abseiling has become a major sporting activity in its own right. It’s the method climbers use to get off a mountain - or special force military and rescue personnel use to descend buildings. Abseiling at Clarens is fun, and it is quite safe, once you overcome the shock of hanging suspended in mid air!
Clarens Xtreme’s abseiling experience is at Swartland, which is a 50m high sandstone rock face overlooking the picturesque town of
If 50m sounds too high then you can try Clarens Xtreme’s smaller abseiling experience at Bokpoort which is a 25m abseil. The Abseil is also perfect for school groups. It also offers an opportunity to go horse riding in one of the most beautiful areas around our town.
Anybody who can fit into a rock climbing harness can do abseiling. You don't need strength to hold your weight – Clarens Xtreme’s experienced guides will show you an easy technique that requires very little strength. The guides also have control over your descent to make sure you are safe. Thus no experience is required for abseiling.
Our unique abseiling venue situated in town in Clarens has a Coffee Bean Roastery, Sports Pub, Bakery, Deli and Art Gallery, so for those not into the adventure side of life there is something for you while the rest of the gang exhaust themselves Abseiling.
At Clarens Xtreme you can also do White Water Rafting, Paintball, Quadbiking, Enduro Riding, a Hiking Trail and Archery
