Pietermaritzburg - Float like a Butterfly
Butterflies for Africa has been developed to combine the best elements of top butterfly houses from around the world with some unique features of its own. The complex currently houses a walk-through
Butterfly House (housing both exotic and indigenous butterflies), Butterfly Craft Shop, The Blue Caterpillar Art Gallery, The Painted Lady Coffee Bar, African Art & Craft Centre, Butterfly Nursery and a Butterfly Garden planted with a large range of butterfly food plants.
Spend some time seeing how you can add colour and gracefulness to your garden by studying how to match the right plants with butterflies in
your area and then you can buy the plants you want, right there and then.
There's a lovely coffee shop that serves light meals as well as a vibrant and often changing art gallery.
Butterflies for Africa can also host small conferences for up to 75 people
