Durban - Go to sea and service shark nets

The Kwa Zulu Natal Sharks Board offers daily trips out to sea leaving at around 6.30am. On weekdays the boat is alongside others from KZN Sharks Board as they service shark nets in the early morning.These early morning trips are on a small boat so please read the advice carefully.

The Kwa Zulu Natal Sharks Board, which is the only organisation of it's kind, worldwide, welcomes and encourages visits by members of the public to its complex in Umhlanga Rocks.

One of the events, held at 09:00 and 14:00 on Tuesdays to Thursdays is a 25 minute audio-visual presentation on the day to day work done by the Kwa Zulu Natal Sharks Board as well as on the important role sharks and other animals play in the marine ecosystem.
