Kleinmond - Rooisand Nature Reserve

Go Birding or Walking at Rooisand and even see Wild Horses

Rooisand Nature Reserve outside Kleinmond forms part of the greater Kogelberg Nature Reserve and Biosphere. It forms a link between the Bot River Estuary and the Kleinmond River Estuary and adjoins the Arabella Golf Estate.

The wide open vleiland goes through dramatic changes from Summer through Winter and this can be even more impressive if the lagoon mouth is breached at Meerensee.

The tasting rooms and heart of Hermanuspietersfontein Wines is at the beginning of the R320 Hemel en Aarde Wine Route. The vineyards themselves are high in the Stanford Hills, some distance from the tasting rooms

They are open Mondays to Fridays 09h00 to 17h00 and from 09h00 to 16h00 on Saturdays. From 15th December to 15th January they also open on Sundays from 10h30 to 15h00
