Description
Whale Tail Cottage self catering Holiday Home, is only a 10 minutes drive to Hermanus CBD. Whale Tale Cottage comfortably accommodates a maximum of 6 people.
This attractive and inviting beach holiday home is on the seafront with fabulous views across Walker Bay and as far as Danger Point. A safe, small and family beach with natural pools is a 5 minute walk along the coast road.
The Lounge and Dining Room has uninterrupted sea vistas. Spectacular sun sets and magnificent views of breaking waves and surrounding mountains can also be viewed from the terrace.
The Kitchen and Laundry have been completely renovated and all appliances are new. These include a Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Microwave Oven, Oven and Hob, Washing machine and Drier. All appliances are internationally recognized brands.
The Braai/Barbeque area is purpose built area for a get together around the fire to cook your favourite meal. Fish, Crayfish and Mussels are readily available from a variety of shops in and around Hermanus.
There are 3 double rooms, each individually decorated and luxuriously fitted, meeting international standards.
The Main Bedroom is a double room which has an en- suite bathroom with shower. You can see the sea from the bedroom and it is quiet and tranquil.
The Second Bedroom is a double room with views of the mountain behind with a second bathroom complete with shower.
The Upstairs Bedroom is a double bedroom with a spectacular sea and mountain views and is away from the main living area of the house. Watch the whales from your bed as they play.

One of the unique attractions of Hermanus is the Cliff Path that stretches from the New Harbour in Westcliff all along the coastline to Grotto beach - just over 10 km long.
Fernkloof Nature Reserve in Hermanus.
The Frans Senekal Nature Reserve in Vermont.
Golf
Over the years the Hermanus Golf Club has become one of the most popular golf courses in South Africa, reputed to be one of the finest and most beautiful 24 holes of golf.
Fifteen minutes drive from Hermanus, is the acclaimed Arabella Golf Estate.
Other activities include paragliding, chartered fishing trips, horse riding and water sport.
Cape Town International Airport is 90 km away and the scenic drive takes approximately 45 minutes.

Directions:
From Cape Town via the coast on the R44 (arguably the most enchanting coastal drive in South Africa) Distance: 120km. Time:1hour 45minutes
Take the N2 Highway towards Somerset West. Turn left on the R44 to Strand (just past the Shell Garage). Proceed past Strand until you reach Gordon's Bay. Travel on the R44 along the coastal road to Rooi-els, Hangklip, Betty's Bay and Kleinmond. Continue through Kleinmond and join the R43 to HERMANUS.
Continue past Hawston, Vermont and Onrus. At the 2nd set of traffic lights (2km before Hermanus), turn right at the SANDBAAI/Hemel en Aarde junction into Main Road (at Engen Garage. Continue until you reach the T-junction at the beach front. Turn left into Marine Drive (‘Kusweg’). Drive to 90 Marine Drive.
