Aandkoor Guest House invites you to experience this picturesque mountain and lakeside retreat. Aandkoor Guest House in Betty's Bay is the place to be in 2010. You will have a choice of four luxuriously appointed
en-suite rooms each with its own themed decor and complete with bar fridge and TV.
All our spacious elegant rooms are fitted with well-chosen art and furnishings. Each room has been carefully decorated with attention given to every detail.

Lake) which is a haven for bird watching and fly fishing

Located within the breathtaking Kogelberg Biosphere reserve, Betty's Bay is approximately an hours drive from Cape Town. Local species include Black Bass and Carp. The lake and surrounding area
are home to a rare species of micro frog as well as the more common varieties. The sounds of
nature will serenade you through the night.
Whale watching is a popular pastime along the coastline and during the season (August to
December) numerous sightings can be made from Gordon's Bay through to the world renowned
Hermanus viewpoint which is only a thirty minute drive away.
The only mainIand based colony of African penguins (formerly known as Jack Ass penguins
because their unique braying call that sounds exactly like a donkey) is located at Stony Point
(part of the marine reserve) a mere fifteen minutes walk from the guesthouse.Stony Point is also the site of a former whaling station and the ruins of some of the works can still be seen in the fynbos. In the 1930's a small steamer (the Una) was scuttled in the bay to create a breakwater to assist in the offloading of the whale carcasses. At low water the rusted
hull is clearly visible.
In Betty's Bay are numerous surf and rock fishing spots along the coastline and catches of white Steenbras and Galjoen are taken regularly in season. Among the more well known spots are Tom's se Klip and Dawidskraal.
Those interested in sand skiing (sand boarding) will find the imposing Hangklip dune a daunting
challenge. For children and the less adventurous, the small dunes of the Silversands beach will provide much enjoyment. These are living dunes and move over time as a result of the prevailing winds. Silversands is one of three beaches in Betty's Bay and stretches for approximately two kilometers. The other two are Main Beach, popular with swimmers, surfers and boogie boarders while Jocks Bay is a small protected bay ideal for children and toddlers.

From Cape Town - Take the N2 from the city or airport towards Somerset West. Before Sir Lowry’s pass, turn onto the R44 towards Gordon’s Bay. From Gordon’s Bay drive approximately 35kms, passing Rooiels and Pringle Bay, until reaching Betty’s Bay. Turn right into Porter Drive at the BP Petrol Station, turn right at Ixia Road, turn right at Lachenalia Road.
From Hermanus - Take the R43 toward Kleinmond. Turn left onto the R44 to Kleinmond. Approximately 8-10 kms from Kleinmond you will reach Betty’s Bay. Turn left into Porter Drive at the BP Petrol Station, turn right at Ixia Road, turn right at Lachenalia Road.
