Our Country Cottage is located in a 2000 sq m sized garden with a pool and direct access to the nature conversation area, which has several walkways through the typical fynbos vegetation. Within five minutes you arrive at a little dam situated higher up outside the village, where you are invited for a refreshing swim. The generously designed house offers 150 sq m living space with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big lounge with fireplace and a fitted loft. The spacious kitchen and living area is fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer, stove, baking and microwave oven. The complete house is furnished with antique furniture reflecting an African style and design.

The cottage is situated in the Breede River Valley, on the border of the Little Karoo. Mc Gregor is on the Route R62, the longest wine route of the world, surrounded by about 30 wine farms. The extensive property borders a large fresh water dam and has gated access to the Krans Nature Reserve. McGregor has been described as one of the Jewels of South Africa. The village is famous for its traditional whitewashed thatched cottages where there is a feeling that time has stood still. The popular wine route on R62 is well known and goes through the town of Robertson a short 20mins drive away with all the major shops and facilities that may be required. Quaint restaurants and pubs are scattered around the village, as are pottery and craft shops. Fresh vegetables are available from the local farm stall. Apart from the activities listed mountain biking and horse riding is also available.
