Victoria West is a small town in the Karoo, about 65 km North of the Junction of the N12 and the N1 at Three Sisters. Victoria West was founded in 1843 and the township was proclaimed in 1855. The Dutch Reformed Church was built in 1850. Victoria West is the centre of a vibrant agricultural community specialising in sheep farming. There is an interesting museum at the town library that houses a notable Stone Age exhibit. It is open on weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00 (closed between 13:00 and 14:00).Victoria West is more than just a small Karoo town, and there are some interesting things to see and do.
