Description
Elandsrus Country Logde is situated on the farm Elandsfontein, 4km off the N1. halfway between Richmond and Beaufort West. this makes Elandsrus Country Lodge the ideal stopover for anyone traveling between Johannesburg and Bloemfontein to and from Cape Town or George.
The two lodge buildings are surrounded by old blue gum and acacia thorn trees and are far enough away from the N1 so as not to dwelling and one new lodgedisturb you as you sleep under clear Karoo skies.
Appreciating nature once again and enjoy one of four luxurious and spacious en-suite bedrooms in the lodge with natural stone showers. In the big open lounge and dining room guests can socialize, relax and enjoy good wholesome farm cuisine with Karoo Lamb, Venison, Chicken, vegetables, fresh baked bread and lots more.
For those of you who want to use Elandrus for a farm holiday or weekend, there are lots to do.
Beautiful scenic hiking and single track mountain bike trails through the veld and "koppies", game drives to see different kinds of antelope, buck and smaller animals, bird watching, horse riding, picnics and donkey car trips. These are but a few activities that this working Karoo sheep farm offers. For those hot summer days, there are 2 farm dams to cool off in.
Your hosts, JH and Patrys van der Merwe, are known for there great Karoo hospitality and whilst you will arrive as a guest you will become a friend and leave Elandsfontein farm as part of the family.
