Summit Lodge Backpackers Accommodation is situated in Graskop in the beautiful province of Mpumalanga.
The Summit Lodge Backpackers Accommodation forms part of the greater Summit Lodge resort, and is housed in an old (but revamped) train carriage. The Train is divided into 8 compartments and sleeps 15 but intrepid Backpackers have on occasion managed 24 a night sardine style.
The Summit Lodge train carriage dates back to the 1960’s and is unique as it is the only one of its kind to offer back packer’s accommodation in Graskop and the surrounding region.
The train offers basic and fun accommodation to the budget traveller or motorcycle adventurer. Its clean, it’s cheap and it’s situated in our lush garden and on our main site that is secure with an electric fence around the whole lodge. No wild animal attacks here!
Summit Lodge is situated on the western edge of Graskop, a small tourist village, 8 km from God's Window and 30 km from the 3rd largest canyon in the World, the Blyde River Canyon.
Adventure Activities near Summit Lodge: Abseiling, White Water Rafting, 4x4 mountain safaris, horse riding, bungie-big swing and zip line rides (over the 80m deep Graskop Gorge), hiking, cycling, fishing and game drives. We have a lovely pool for that welcome end of day dip.

As you approach town turn right into Market Street. If you cross the railway line you have gone too far! Summit Lodge Backpackers Accommodation is at No 8 Market Street.
From all other places drive into Graskop and take the Sabie Road out of Graskop on the other side. Cross the railway line and a little further on turn left into Market Street.
