Hlalanathi Drakensberg Resort is beautifully set in the Natal Drakensberg. The spacious grassed caravan stands overlooking the Tugela River and Amphitheatre.
Hlalanathi Drakensberg Resort is halfway between Gauteng and the coast, this is an ideal breakaway resort with modern facilities and sparkling ablutions.
Golf enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the Amphitheatre. Golf Course is situated next door to Hlalanathi Drakensberg Resort.
This challenging Nine Hole boasts the Amphitheatre as a backdrop, and has been developed with minimum impact on the 'berg environment.
In fact, indigenous vegetation has been encouraged between the fairways, and the water features have attracted an array of local bird life.
Hlalanathi Drakensberg Resort has a restaurant and pub on site for those who do not wish to cook or you can explore the restaurants & pubs in the area.
It is ideal for small conferences or training sessions. Our venue can seat up to 30 delegates. There are various configurations available.
THE CHALETS
Hlalanathi Drakensberg Resort offers very comfortable thatched chalets. All chalets are fully equipped and serviced. There are 2 x 2-sleeper chalets, which have a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, 9 x 4-sleeper chalets, which have two bedrooms with either one or two bathrooms and 5 x 6-sleeper chalets, which have three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The comfortable lounge is furnished with a lounge suite, TV, and log fireplace. The Garden Cottage does not have a fireplace, but does have a heater. Each cottage has a fridge/deep-freeze, microwave oven, stove, and outdoor braai (barbecue) area. All linen, crockery and cutlery is provided.
THE CARAVAN PARK
Hlalanathi Drakensberg Resort offers level caravan and camping sites with 15 amp plug points. The stands are spacious and grassed to ensure maximum comfort. Our friendly staff will assist in putting up tents during office hours. Our modern ablutions offer an abundance of hot water.
We also have a laundry service on the property, where our staff will do your laundry. Gas refills are done on site. We also offer free freezer space. Wood can be bought at our shop, should you wish to braai.

Directions:
JOHANNESBURG TO HLALANATHI DRAKENSBERG RESORT
· Follow the N3 to Harrismith.
· Turn towards Bethlehem on the N5.
· Travel 4km, and turn left onto the R712 towards Qwa-Qwa.
· After 8km turn left again, onto the R74 towards Bergville.
· Travel down the Oliviershoek Pass, and as the pass levels out,
turn right towards the Northern Drakensberg.
· Hlalanathi is signposted from here.
