erched on the edge of the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve, with breathtaking views of the waterfall and gorge, Kloof Falls Lodge offers a peaceful, stylish retreat for guests on holiday as well as on business. Your hosts, Tim (Owner) and Iselle (Manager) assure you of a warm welcome and look forward to treating you to an unforgettable stay in a relaxed, country-like environment just three minutes from central Kloof. Attention to detail and personal service are the keynotes.
Choose from seven elegantly furnished bedrooms where crisp cream linen, down duvets, fluffy white bathrobes and heated towel rails will make you feel special. If on business, you will find all facilities, yet be able to relax and unwind. Air-conditioning in five of these rooms will add to your comfort.
Savour the feel of Africa as you relax on the lower lawn, observing birds and butterflies. Sip a sundowner under the flat-crown trees and watch the sun set over indigenous forest. Lose yourself in a book or watch TV in your room or in the private guest lounge / dining room and enjoy a log fire on cold evenings. Leave your hosts to make reservations for dinner from a selection of excellent local restaurants.
Wake to birdsong, draw back your curtains and start your day with the sight and sound of the falls. On warmer mornings, contemplate the wild beauty of the gorge while breakfasting to classical music on the pool-side patio.
Unpack your walking boots and binoculars and take a leisurely stroll or a strenuous hike along one of the many nature reserve trails which run directly from the garden. Bush buck, duiker, monkeys and rock dassie frequent the reserve. Guided tours of the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve, which boasts 200 species of birds can be organized. A crowned eagles’ nest is 20 minutes walk from the lodge. The pair usually breeds every second year in September.

Directions:
Kloof is on the M13 which leaves and rejoins the main Durban- Pietermaritzburg N3 freeway.
Leaving DURBAN on the N3 to Pietermaritzburg.
Take [Exit 17] marked M13 PINETOWN PIETERMARITZBURG.
**Take [Exit 23] marked VILLAGE ROAD and follow M33W signs which take you past the Kloof Village Mall,
right at the circle, left over the railway bridge, and left again into CHURCH ROAD.
At the T-junction turn left and quickly right into M33W, KLOOF FALLS ROAD.
After about 2kms watch out for the KLOOF FALLS LODGE sign and move towards the centre of the road ready to turn right into RONALDS ROAD. Continue along Ronalds Road through the four way intersection into UMVEMVE PLACE and Kloof Falls Lodge (No 8) is on the left.

Alternatively, at the T- junction, by the church, turn right into ABELIA ROAD.
Follow the road past the Civic offices and Kloof High School. Thereafter Kloof Falls Lodge sign boards will guide you left into ALAMEIN ROAD and right into UMVEMVE PLACE.

Leaving DURBAN AIRPORT follow signs for N2 NORTH COAST PIETERMARITZBURG.
Take [Exit 165] marked N3 DURBAN PIETERMARITZBURG JOHANNESBURG.
Continue on N3 and take [Exit 17] M13 PINETOWN PIETERMARITZBURG and follow as per ** above
Leaving PIETERMARITZBURG on the N3 to Durban,
Take [Exit 35] marked M13 HILLCREST.
Take [Exit 26] marked EVERTON ROAD. Turn left at STOP street into EVERTON ROAD,
then first right into IGWABABA ROAD, following Krantzkloof Nature Reserve-Forest Hills signs.
Straight through 3 way stop. At the next STOP, follow M33W into KLOOF FALLS ROAD.
Take third right into RONALDS ROAD.
Continue along RONALDS ROAD, through the four way Intersection into UMVEMVE PLACE and
Kloof Falls Lodge is no. 8 on the left.
