With spectacular scenery Riverside Lodge offers the perfect getaway venue for both business and leisure travellers. Riverside Lodge comprises of 32 thatched en-suite rooms, located in a beautiful garden, all overlooking the Orange River. Our fully licensed restaurant, The Orange Gecko, serves up mouth-watering dishes to be savoured whilst enjoying the view of the Orange River. Our pub and grill offers a wide selection of pizzas and grills. Our airconditioned Conference Facility can accommodate up to 120 Delegates. Visit the Nature Reserve, situated ten kilometers downstream from Aliwal North on the banks of the Orange River. The self catering lodge can accommodate up to twenty people. This exclusive malaria-free private Game Reserve offers 1000 hectares of indigenous beauty, just minutes away from the Lodge. Enjoy picnicking at one of the tranquil riverside picnic spots with a lapa and braai facilities. Take a game drive and view our 21 species, including rare wildlife such as buffalo, bontebok, rhino, giraffe, tsessebe, gemsbuck, njalas, waterbuck, zebra, eland, kudu etc. The reserve also has an abundance of bird life. Take a scenic walk to the ancient rock art or enjoy fishing for the elusive Yellow fish. End your day with a relaxing soak in the nearby hot water sulphur spring (34 degrees).
