Description
The Marais family have been on this far for three generations. The farm is the highest point between Johannesburg and Cape Town and the Guest House gets it’s name from the 6 mountain springs that supply the farm. This is an outdoor enthusiasts ideal stopover with a 34km MTB track, Quadbike and 4X4 trails, plenty for kids to do, donkey rides, angora goats to study, hiking trails and birdwatching.
Problem if you stay here overnight is that you may cancel the rest of your holiday. The farm is a traditional Karoo farming environment with historical structures from the previous century dating back 100-150 years ago still visible on several locations on the farm. Several “veeposte” can still be found as well as Khoi San Bushmen drawings.
